Troubleshooting & Guides

How do I restore my Pro purchase on a new iPhone or iPad?
To restore an existing subscription or lifetime purchase:
1. Open Tinnora on your device.
2. Open the Settings sheet (gear icon).
3. Tap Restore Purchases.
As long as you are signed into the same Apple ID used to make the initial purchase, Apple StoreKit will instantly verify and restore your Pro access at no extra charge.
Why shouldn't I play the sound loud enough to completely drown out my ringing?
Audiologists strongly advise partial masking rather than complete masking. If you attempt to obliterate your tinnitus with high sound pressure, your brain can undergo "rebound tinnitus" as soon as the sound stops, and excessive volume can exacerbate hair cell strain. Instead, adjust Tinnora so the sound and the ringing gently mix—this allows the auditory cortex to naturally habituate and soften vigilance.
How do the Lock Screen and Live Activity controls work?
On iOS 16.1+, whenever Tinnora is playing, a Live Activity appears automatically on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island. You can tap Play/Pause or add +15 minutes to your sleep timer directly without unlocking your phone or waking your eyes with bright screen light in bed.
How do I cancel or modify my subscription?
Because all transactions are handled securely by Apple, you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:
1. Open your iPhone Settings app.
2. Tap your name at the very top (Apple ID).
3. Tap Subscriptions.
4. Select Tinnora and choose Cancel Subscription.
You will continue to have full Pro access until the end of your current billing period.
Can I request a specific nature sound or ambient recording?
Yes! Our audio engineers regularly record and master new field ambiences. If you have a specific sound you find comforting (e.g., train cabin, mountain creek, pine forest wind), let us know at support@tinnora.com.
